Wouldn't that help contribute to a ketogenic state?
You may need to take ketoconazole for 6 months or longer to cure your infection completely. Continue to take ketoconazole until your doctor tells you that you should stop, even if you feel better. Do not stop taking ketoconazole without talking to your doctor. If you stop taking ketoconazole too soon, your infection may come back after a short time.
Don’t laugh, but I have been adoring these pancakes, despite having the worst time trying to flip them, LOL. My husband also adores them, despite them looking not quite perfect. :D I have to ask, how long did it take you to perfect flipping them??? So far I’ve tried them twice on my griddle which we discovered that after years of use is now crooked, LOL. I do them now in an omelet pan and I have to say every other one turns out really nice. Totally not the recipe, but rather me being too impatient. I will learn to perfect them yet!
Hi Melissa! So I went on ideal protein to lose weight before my daughter’s wedding. It was great! I loved the products and of course I loved losing 64 pounds. HOWEVER, after the wedding I started to enjoy drinking again. And since July 2014, I have gained 34 pounds. I have yo-yo’d with IP but after the taste of real food it is very difficult for me to stay on track. I know it works but after 3 weeks losing 9 pounds I end up eating a whole pizza! Anyway, I love all of your insight to keto. How do you think your suggestions will work if I am throwing in a IP packet for snack instead of say almonds? I just want to feel better again and not spend $100 every week on IP. Thanks for your time and commitment to helping those of us who are weak!

These were absolutely amazing! This was the first time I have used almond flour (we are new to Keto) but my god!! They taste just like real pancakes! I make my coffee with MCT oil and Integral Collagen as well, but instead of butter (which I can’t take on an empty stomach), I put a teaspoon of powdered whey protein in. I do an intermittent fast each day from about 8-9:00 pm until 1:30 the next day, so this coffee really gets me through the morning. I drink it while I’m doing my makeup and then drink a cup of regular coffee when I get to work. The collagen has thickened up my hair like crazy in the past year and I recommend this to all my friends who want to go low carb, try fasting or just want great hair and nails!
You need to let them cook a little longer before flipping – also make sure you let the batter rest for a few minutes before blending or the air bubbles will make the batter more fragile! And make sure you are using enough butter so they don’t stick – and a spatula in good condition to slide under easily and not break it on the way through. You’ll get it!

O.M.G!!!!!! hands down the best keto friendly pancake I’ve ever had! I used sukrin sugar substitute and syrup with added maple flavoring. I decided to replace a tablespoon of coconut flour for whey protien and oh my goodness. Didn’t tell my hubby that these were not the flour sugar and carb overload pancakes and he had no clue! I have been on keto for a few weeks now and I have lost 15 pounds. There is no hunger issues. Keto is not a starvation or calorie deficit diet. It’s important to track your macro nutrients and follow them closely for results. You can’t just go “low carb” and achieve ketosis. There is a balance between carbs, fat, and protein that is needed for ketosis. You could eat zero carbs and still not hit ketosis if your protein intake is too high. Even the tiredness you will feel while starting a keto diet is treatable and not long lasting.
I tried to do as another reviewer and use 1/4 cup to get 6 pancakes. I got 4 that were 1/4 cup. But not quite enough for the final 2. The 5th is likely 1/3 cup size maybe. Anyhow. Found they were a tad dense. May add an additional tablespoon of water or almond milk for just an extra bit of fluid to make them less dense and see if it allows me to get 6 pancakes!!
I wish I would have used the lemon extract, because I think it could use that extra tang. I’ll have to pick some up for next time! I baked the cake for an hour and 20 minutes before turning off the oven. I think next time I’ll let it go for 10 or so more minutes because the middle of the cheesecake is not quite firm enough. Overall this is a great basic recipe and exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
Candy bars are pretty taboo on keto, but you can still get your fix with The Big Man’s World’s killer chocolate coconut crack bar recipe. (In addition to being keto-friendly, it also happens to be Paleo and vegan.) You’ll need just four ingredients: unsweetened shredded coconut, coconut oil, monk fruit-sweetened maple syrup, and stevia-sweetened chocolate chips. First, you’ll mix the shredded coconut, syrup, and coconut oil, press the mixture firmly into a parchment paper-lined pan, and stash the pan in the fridge. Once the mixture has firmed up, you’ll cut it into bars, melt your chocolate chips, and coat each bar in chocolate for a treat that rivals any sugar-laden bar out there.
Had you put it in the blender, this would not have happened. I don’t think the brand matters as I’ve seen complaints/comments about this for all the good brands. My niece used the same Now brand and had purple rolls. I used the very same pack about two weeks after and ran it in the blender along with the flaxseed meal (as that’s usually not fine enough) and salt (as my grains are quite large) and everything came out just fine. I continued to use the same pack until it was finished and had no issue.
If you’ve still got chips, cookies, bread, and soda in the house, there’s a chance temptation could win over—just a handful or two of pretzels, and you could totally derail your efforts to put your body into ketosis. There isn’t much wiggle room on the keto diet, which means there isn’t much room in your house for any food that isn’t keto-friendly. Get rid of whatever doesn’t make the cut and replace it with whatever does so that you still have plenty to eat.
Hi Samantha, Sorry, unfortunately not every recipe scales very well. Sometimes, if it gives you a very small ratio like “1 1/11 eggs”, you can probably just round down to 1 egg. But I can’t absolutely guarantee the results. Usually, if it doesn’t come out to a clean number, I’d recommend making the recipe as-is and just saving the recipe. The pancakes store well in the fridge or freezer.
These were very delicious!!!! I was very surprised thatI would actually like them. Of course at first I flipped it right the first time and then wasn’t paying attention and it was a little burnt on the other side but the other ones came out kinda looking great. I will continue practicing to get my flipping down right. I used Stevia in the raw (yuck), it always gives me an after taste but it wasn’t too bad this time. I also found sugar, calorie and carb free syrup (Walden Farms pancake syrup).
I love these pancakes. I’m three weeks into Keto and I am not an egg fan although I have my super omelet at least 4 times a week. It is so nice to come across an alternative. I am not a syrup fan and a few blue & Raspberries do the trick. The batter is light and they cook really evenly. Don’t flip too early or the break in half. I also make 4 days worth, put them in a airtight container and put them in the toaster with plenty of butter afterwards. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

There is one question., can we replace coconut flour with almond flour completely? If yes what is the quantity for almond flour in this case? Thank you once again.

This is fantastic! I decided to add oregano and garlic and it was delicious. I ate two pieces for dinner, and dipped them in Mid’s pizza sauce, which is low cal and low carb. It was like pizza sticks. Yum! Mine browned beautifully, was cheesy and delish. Not sure how this would be eggy tasting for people with so much else in the bread. The only time I have eggy taste is with smaller recipes. Anyway, this is a keeper, and I will make again!
Tried these Keto Lemon Bars for the first time last night. As my second ever Keto friendly dessert, these are absolutely amazing. They don’t taste “modified” or “lighter” at all. I followed the recipe exactly, adding 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla to the crust, as the notes offered. The bars have that familiar lemon bar texture once set in the fridge for a while. I definitely recommend fresh lemons, because the natural flavor can’t be beat. Thanks for a delightful new staple!

I had the same problem. Everything blended beautifully, rose in oven, then fell. Toothpick came out clean after 45 min of baking. I let it cool and then cut into it this morning and it has raw spots throughout the loaf. I am so disappointed because I killed a dozen eggs to make it and really don’t want to do it again. I wonder if the oven needs to be warmer and the cooking time needs to be increased?

This is the best keto bread I have ever made! By far! My bread was a little flat, but I think my baking powder needs to be replaced. I did make two substitutions with this recipe. I replaced egg whites with whole eggs, and ghee with coconut oil. Everything else, I already had on hand. I will definitely make this again and play with it a little. Really delicious bread.
These keto macro cakes are not only perfect served hot with some butter and sugar free maple syrup, but they are great for storing and snacking on throughout the week. In fact, I took these to work with me for lunch the following couple days, as well as snacked on them straight out of the fridge. It’s nice to have a snack at the ready that has perfect keto macros.
Made this tonight for dinner. Use regular pot on the stove because I didn’t have enough time 🙂 I also used 1lb of grass fed hamburger and 1lb of grass fed beef cubes. Didn’t make mine quite as ‘hot’ as yours but everyone raved at the dinner table! I’m not usually a fan of chili, I think because I don’t really like the beans. This beanless chili was absolutely perfect for me. My non-LCHF/Primal family members had some pasta (gag) with theirs. For those, like myself, wanting a low-carb real bread I would recommend a proper low-carb yeast bread recipe with vital wheat gluten (the vast majority of people have zero gluten sensitivity, so the gluten-free fad is at best a waste and at worst a scam). Such breads have approx 1.5-2 grams more net carbs per 40g slice (5-6 grams total net carbs) than this recipe and I think it’s worth it.
I’m putting together recipes for my sister-in-law, who can’t have dairy on her Keto journey. Would it be okay to double the almond milk to cut out the heavy cream? I don’t know if she is allergic to coconut cream, but let’s assume she is, so what would be the best alternative to heavy cream? I’ve seen some places state that they can be swapped 1:1, however, almond milk tends to not be as thick as heavy cream. Suggestions?

Although excellent sources of fat, nuts add up quickly in protein and carbs, and are often inflammatory. Snack on fattier nuts such as macadamia nuts and pecans, but limit those high in inflammatory omega-6s, like peanuts and sunflower seeds. Only use nut flours (almond, coconut) in moderation, as they are packed with protein. To stay in ketosis, limit high-carb nuts like cashews, pistachios and chestnuts, and avoid most beans.
Hi Amee, Sometimes flax eggs work to replace eggs, but I haven’t tried it for these pancakes. To make one “flax egg”, whisk a tablespoon of flax seed meal (I like golden for milder taste) with three tablespoons of water. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes, then use in the recipe. This recipe calls for 6 eggs, so you’d need to multiply that by 6 (that is, 6 tbsp flaxseed meal and 1 cup + 2 tbsp water). If you try it for these pancakes, let me know if it works!
These cookies are so delicious! They are light and satisfying! I made 2 portions of the batter and flavored them differently. Vanilla and lemon. Yum. The vanilla I put 1 pecan half on each. For the lemon ones, I made a small batch of cream cheese erythritol lemon icing. Fresh and delicious. My hubby, who is a hard sell, loved these— I couldn’t keep him out of them!

There's a lot of keto pancakes out there that involve 2 ingredients: cream cheese and eggs. They're okay, but they're a little eggy and way more tangy than we like. Adding [almond] flour makes them a little more cakey, and the lemon zest gives them an added layer of flavor that we're totally addicted to. Not a fan of lemon? Add a teaspoon of vanilla instead!
