I wanted to share I made this recipe last night and it also turned out great! Many thx for the treat you’ve shared! I love cheesecake and so good to be able to enjoy it on low carb lifestyle. Mine cracked a bit while cooking but disappeared when it cooled and settled. I used one cup of Swerve erythritol for the filling and it was just right for me. Besides the great taste, what I like best is the denseness like a real NY cheesecake. I may only use 8oz of sour cream next time to see if I can get it just a bit dense-er. 🙂 Thx again!
My dad is probably the best example I have seen of this. He went from being a full-on couch potato to a working machine. He was off the couch doing projects around the house that my mom had been asking him to do for years! We couldn’t get him to sit still. His energy level was through the roof, and he even looked younger. It is amazing what a difference eating the right foods can make. Don’t take my word for it. Food awareness is a real thing. Lots of people are in the dark about a lot of things and it’s not really their fault. It’s just the way it is. I better very quickly clear up the fact that this isn’t really maple syrup and nor is it a Keto maple syrup. It’s actually a MAPLE FLAVOURED syrup. This is because just like honey or sugar itself, maple syrup is just a kind of sugar. So they extract that flavour and use it. The one I have (Lakanto brand) is sweetened with monkfruit and I have to say it tastes pretty damn good!

I’m brand new to the Keto scene. Just started the diet on tuesday. There are so many supplements listed here. Is there a place to start? Like only starting with a couple? What about blood testing, do you recommend it it and how often and should i even be testing in the first month. Any help is greatly appreciated. I took 5 cod fillets (frozen) out of the bag, thawed them completely (took a couple of hours, although you could easily use fresh fish too), then wicked out the excess moisture with paper towel. Then I sprayed a cake pan with oil, layed down 5 thin slices of lemon (one for each piece), then layed the fish on top of each slice of lemon. then I poured heavy whipping cream on top of each piece of fish. (about a cup total). Then I sprinkled each pieace of fish with some fresh grated parmesan (about 1-2 T. each piece) and a bit of salt. Then put it in a 375 oven for about 30-40 minutes. (depending on the thickness of your fish and how brown you want it to get). THAT’S IT!! It was the best fish I have ever had in my life!!!
Then there’s medium chain triglycerides (MCT’s). Most dietary fat has to be converted into water soluble molecules that then need to enter the liver via your lymph system. Your liver then converts these molecules to fatty acids and ketone bodies. I buy whole golden flax seeds. I grind them very fine to use them so my flax seed meal is always fresh and not rancid. I have never tried it in bread so am going to give it a shot with this recipe. Hope it turns out. There are so many glowing comments for this bread. I don’t eat grains and usually just use cloud bread which I love but my grandchildren would prefer a “slice” of bread. Do you think this would turn out in a pullman pan?

For someone who has been on a low carb diet for 3 months I absolutely loved these very first time I need them. my husband said he would have preferred to have the real thing but he is still a carb loader. Tthe second time I made them I cook them in the same pan I had just cook the bacon in. We both enjoyed them very much. I mixed my bacon in with my pancakes. It reminded me of when I use to go to fast food restaurants and get the bacon pancake and egg platter mix it all together pour syrup on everything and eat it all up. I felt like I was being bad. :)

Becoming keto adapted means your body is now readily and easily converting those fatty acids you’re eating into ketones. In the beginning, the body may not be well equipped to convert. We all have fat converting enzymes, but the amount of them drastically increases when keto adapted. This is another cause of fatigue in the beginning of a keto diet, or during a keto flu: your body is building up the reserves to start running on fat (creating more enzymes to more efficiently burn fat). Made the recipe following the instructions, popped it in the oven for about 80 mins it puffed up and looked amazing, left it in the oven to cool for 40 mins it lowered a little bit then took it out to cool completely and deflated about 2 inches below the top of the pan. I’m trying to figure out what went wrong, do you have any idea? I checked all the ingredients again and I didn’t forget anything, the raw batter tasted great. It was incredibly humid here yesterday and I wonder if that had any effect on it? 

WOW! I realize I haven’t had any simple carbs in 2 weeks, so my review might be a bit biased, but these are THE BEST low carb pancakes ever! I swear it was like eating Sunday pancake and french toast breakfast from when I was younger and ate ANYTHING I wanted. And I want to testify I haven’t had a blood sugar over 108 since I started this Ketogenic Live-it ( not diet) . PS I am a 65 year old retired nurse, diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 5 years ago.
I have made this recipe twice in less than a week. The first batch I stuffed them with egg and spinach and the second batch I stuffed with pepperoni and mozzarella. The possibilities are endless. The second batch was a little crumbly, so I added warm water until they formed and held properly. I shaped them into small empanadas. Thank you for these, they are delicious!

In addition, weight and height measurements, and blood pressure were monitored at each visit.
Made the pancakes this morning, watched my kids inhale them as fast as I could take them off the griddle, then went and deleted every low-carb pancake and waffle recipe that I had saved on my Pinterest boards. This is it. This is just *it*. I made the pancakes exactly as written, didn’t sub or omit anything, and they were *perfect*. My kids couldn’t even tell these were any different than my old, high-carb pancakes! Thank you so, so much.
The yeast in this low carb and keto bread ensures a wonderful texture and taste. Now, how much your bread will rise (and fall!) post-bake depends quite a bit on your altitude. But note that you still won’t get that gummy and wet texture here of most low carb breads. Plus, as mentioned, we’re baking at over 7,000 feet (Mexico City here!!), so if we can make this keto sandwich bread work so can you.
Great recipe – I’m making my second batch right now. I’m going to go a little more on the vodka to see if that makes it a little softer right out of the freezer. I just softened the first batch a little in the microwave because it was really too hard even though I added a couple of tablespoons of vodka and some coconut oil when I made it. So far, I’m only using this in root beer floats (diet A&W) so I don’t really notice if the microwave does anything weird with the texture. Tonight I’m going to try freezing/mixing it in an ice cream maker and adding a pinch or two of xanthan gum, since I’ve heard that helps make a smoother texture. Thanks for posting this great recipe!
This recipe looks like an almond mug came recipe minus the cream of tartar, I found online. So it must be quite good because I love it. Id course it is sweet because of honey but nonetheless it has a strong eggy flavour to it which makes it yummy. But making it like a bread, I don’t know if it would taste delicious, I need to try it and see how it would look like. But thanks to Dr Josh Axe who took the time to give us that recipe.

Like chili, but with a fried egg on it. This recipe is also made with breakfast sausage patties instead of ground beef or turkey to give it a morning twist (and pack in the protein). In any case, I was finally able to have a little sample of bread and butter which was thrilling and so yummy. I originally intended to make turkey sandwiches with the loaf, but may end up repurposing it. It would make some great croutons for the Gnom-Gnom stuffing recipe. But I can also see some bruschetta in my near future. By cutting the loaf horizontally, I think I can still manage to get at least one turkey sandwich out of it this week. That’s if I don’t keep sneaking little slices for bread and butter 😉

Well, I am going to give this another try. I have great difficulty in eating greens , or drinking them, also I am not fond of fats, years and years of low fat diets have totally screwed my metabolism,and taste buds. I will read this page every day to keep my mind focused. Start tomorrow when I get up …… I work nights which can cause me problems as well. When I tried this diet before, I got terrible cramp, now I realise I wasn’t drinking enough water. Anyway.here goes.
